Cayman Islands, a paradise to discover
Grand Cayman
The largest of the Cayman Islands is the tourist and financial center of the country. A large number of banks and insurers have established their bases in this beautiful place, which has become a tax haven over the years.
The beaches in Grand Cayman have no comparison. Its waters are an intense turquoise blue and the sand is as white as snow. One of the most beautiful and popular beaches is known as Seven Mile.
Other activities you can do in Grand Cayman are snorkeling, jet skis, scuba diving and many more. But if what you are looking for is a quieter day you can visit the Queen Elizabeth II botanical garden or the Cayman Islands National Museum.
Cayman Brac
Cayman Brac is the easternmost of the islands. With just over 1,800 inhabitants, it is a quiet and very beautiful place to spend unforgettable days of adventure.
You can explore the caves of Cayman Brac or perhaps immerse yourself in its waters to explore the remains of various shipwrecks here. You may also be interested in visiting a natural formation known as the Pillars of Hercules, go to the Powell Museum and relax in one of the many spas that are located there. Not bad, right?
Little Cayman
As the name implies, Little Cayman is the smallest of the islands. It has an approximate area of 26 kilometers and an estimated population of 170 people. It is a great place to meet in a single day.
It can be easily reached by air with the Cayman Airways airline or by sea from Cayman Brac. In addition to beautiful beaches, in Little Cayman you can find some shops and restaurants and a lovely church.

George town
George Town is the capital and largest city of the Cayman Islands. It is located in Grand Cayman and as we discussed earlier it is the financial center of the city. It is also where you can find the greatest variety of shops and restaurants. Tourism is the second source of income for the Cayman Islands, so many cruise ships arrive at the port of George Town.
West bay
West Bay is another of the most popular places in the magnificent Cayman Islands. It is located in Grand Cayman and is the second most populous city on the islands. It is a place of extraordinary natural beauty that is worth visiting. There you will find the most beautiful beaches and cliffs, as well as small restaurants that offer a varied gastronomic offer.
Bodden Town
Bodden Town, also located in Grand Cayman, is the first settlement, so its historical and cultural value is very important. Between 1798 and 1823 the first ports, fortifications and houses were built. At least 6 kilometers of walls and canyons of that time are still preserved, so it is definitely one of the most interesting places to know about the great island.
East end
East End is another town located in Grand Cayman. It also has beautiful beaches that you should know, in addition to a famous lighthouse that is located to the east. It is the first lighthouse in the history of the islands, it has been an essential piece to help navigate the island.
Before placing the lighthouse of East End, the Cayman Islands were known as «the cemetery of the Caribbean», for the numerous shipwrecks that occurred in the place. In 1794 ten merchant ships ran aground on the island’s reefs, unfortunately 8 people died, but this accident was decisive for the construction of the lighthouse.
